FRED HOLLOWS

• 1919    He was born in Duredin New Zealand
• 1965    He them did post-graduate work in Wales before moving in 1965 to Australia ,where he                became assoicate professor of ophthalmology at the university of New Souht Wales.
• 1975 Fred Hollow's s first wife died.
• 1975 he started the National Trachoma and eye health program.
• 1988 Fred Hollows interwievied by Peter Read.
• 1990 Fred Hollows received the Australian of the year award for threating many with curable blindness in many third ward countries. 
• 1990 he received the Human rights medal in 1990 for his hard work in providing beter eyesight in third words countires.
• 1991 Fred Hollows visited eritca helped a lot of people in need of eye care .Fred's trip to Vietnam helped about 3000 people gettin cure from their eye diseases.
• 1992 fred set up the Fred Hollows Foundation in 1992 which contiuned the work that . it started and fullfiilled his dream. since 1992 Fred Hollows foundation have been setting up eye  care clinics in third word countries .
• 1993 He died onthe 10 of February ,1993 aged 64 in sydney and he was buried in the town of Bourke.
